  1. I have 3 separate mpeg DVD videos I wish to burn to DVDR as 3 separate tracks (chapters), and I don't want a menu.

Its very simple really. I want to use the 'Next' button on my DVD player remote to get to the next video, rather than have to sit through the first video to get to the next one! This sounds so ridiculously simple, but I cannot work out how to do it. Using Ulead DVDFactory (or Workshop), I always end up with just a continuous playing disc. It seems no menu = no chapters. It seems you can only insert 'chapter' points *within* the individual video clips. I want the chapter points to be the beginning of each clip. Am I missing something?

I think I'm also in a general state of confusion over chapters/titles/tracks terminology.

you have a couple of options:
number one, merge your 3 mpegs together, to be one long file. you can now set the chapter points with dvdfactory
number two, you can author the disc with three seperate titles, title 1 being the first file, with the "next" action being go to title 2 which is your next file. I don't know how to do this in anything other than DVDit, so search the forum.
i'll try and clarify the structure a bit.
the starting point on a DVD is the root Title, this is often a logo screen, or a warning screen. this has an instruction at the end to go to title 1, the menu. from the menu, you can pick to go to the other titles on the disc, for instance different episodes of a TV series, and from inside a title you can select chapter points. that's how a -basic- DVD works, some are far more complex.....
