Does anyone know if there is any standalone video recorder that can record in WMV/Mpeg4/Divx format on CDRs/CD-RWs???

it wouldnt really be a dvd recorder then, dvd would suggest an mpeg2 format. the formats your reaching for would be obtained by custom building your own PVR system w/ HD storage.

ive seen one camcorder that recored straight to mpeg-4 but way expensive.
