  1. I hope someone can help. I am trying to make a copy of BarbWire. It is a dual layer disc that contains both the 4:3 version and the 16:9 version. I would like to fit this onto one DVD-R. Is there a way I can delete the 4:3 vesion when ripping the DVD and still keep the menus. Maybe if there is a way to just process 1 chapter of 4:3 VTS and delete the rest…I really need help.

    Thanks in advance.

Almost guarenteed to have 2 title sets. I used IFOedit to strip menus and only 16:9 version. Only quirk is if you go ful screen ver. to play the DVD player just hangs. No biggie though.

  4. Go here :

You can use IFOEDIT and remove the 4:3 version and probably have more than enough room to just burn it immediately....That's what I did with Snatch and others that are in that format.

Another Option: Use DVDShrink and shrink the 4:3 version down to nothing (frames). This will keep the integrity of the DVD also.

  5. Look for a possible runout ( that's what I call it ) in the VTS. A VOB ID that's for a .15 second clip. Only select that in IFOEdit and it will process down to nothing.

    OR

One easy way to do it is just delete the vobs in that VTS and leave the IFO and BUP files. If you are burning with NERO it will say that there could be a write error and other warnings will pop up. Click to proceed. Rmemeber that this is all at your own risk. It works for me but I'm also making sure nothing is using or is linked to that VTS.

Also remove the link to the full screen version with MENUEDIT.

  6. Thanks people,

DVDShrink did the trick, except for one thing. no menus????The movie plays and is followed by the extras. Is there something or setting that should be checked in DVDShrink to keep the menus on the disk functional?
