Hi, I have my dvd 3.5 and have a couple questions..
your manual says that if there is an illegal video file that mydvd will automatically encode it. My first question is, will I know it is encoding..will it tell me or just do it without me knowing what it is doing? At what point in the project will it encode an illegal file?

My second and related to the first...I created and saved an mpeg2 file movie album that came with my panasonic 521 dvd ram drive. i opened your program mydvd and made the menu and so on. I got to the add movie section and hit add movie and selected the mpeg2 that I just created....now, this is where my question comes it...it took about 10 minutes for it to add the file.......was it encoding at that point, or is the amount of time it took to add normal for your software? Most other software I use when I add the movie to the project it takes only a few seconds. My concern here is that Mydvd is reencoding my mpeg2 during the add movie process and I don't know it. can you clarify whether the amount of time to add the movie is normal or was it encoding?
    thanks..t

  2. I had that program which came with my Sony drive. I could never get it to do anything right and you're right it takes forever just to open a small file.

A much better and super fast program I now use is NeoDVD Plus.
