My question is maybe stupid, but everybody started from somewhere...
I have Sony DRU500AX DVD-R. This machine writes at 4x speed. I bought DVD-R and DVD-RW discs from the market, but their writing speed is not written anywhere on them.
My question is: How can I find out the writing speed they support?![]()

Open NEro, usually it will have a column pn the left Click on Pulldown-arrow on top of that column to choose DVD (the other option is CD).
Down at the same column, click "DVDVideo" icon. Now it ready for you to create a new DVD movie, click on the TAG "Burn" (not the button"burn")and see what on the speed box of this Tag-window. That's it.
