    Which console has a better DVD player?

    Ps2 or Xbox?

    uhm... I have found that both are a pretty sad escuse for a real dvd player, that said other then media detections I like the xbox dvd player a little more, with the remote its a little nicer then ps2s. On the same note I prefer the PS2 for play actual games.

    I know they suck but everyone is talking about the console's horsepower...

    it comes down to game... in the end thats all that matters is games. Do this goto gamespot.com and look at the complete list of Xbox games, then the list of PS2 games... pick out what interest you. Which ever you see more games at is likely the system you will like the best.

    If you dont have enough time for that then flip a coin, if heads buy a PS2, if tails buy a PS2 just to spite bill gates.

    Panasonic Q? Is that the Panasonic gamecube? If so I guess its nice if you have that kind of cash.

    Well, I sold off my gamecube and a couple of controllers and 4 games for $150 and sold my standalone Panasonic RV31 for $60 and did a little MS Excel work for an accountant friend of mine for $250. End result...enough to buy the Q.
