  1. If you back up a disk using DiscomVOBulator, will it play in the newer Sony DVD players. I was told they read a different format such as XVCD.

I dont really want to waste a bunch of disks trying, I suck.

    And one more question ---------

When backs up the DVD using DiscomVOBulator does it copy all of the capters and everything.

Although Sony uses DVD+R instead of DVD-R (i believe), the player will be able to play the discs (depending on the media)

  3. I have played a DiscoPlus DVD on a newer Sony player (NS315?) and it worked fine. Burned it with Toast 5.2.

DiscoVOBulator doesn't copy the chapter markers from the original disk. It allows you to set your own markers, or choose automatic chapters set at the interval of your choice (5 min., 7 min., 10 min., etc.)

Unregistered trial versions of Disco and Disco+ are limited to five chapters; registered versions have no limit.

All of my DiscoVOMbulator+ titles play on my Sony 315, whether I burn to DVD-R or DVD-RW. I use inexpensive disks from www.americal.com (lot number 702886 for DVD-Rs and 702837 for DVD-RWs).
