  1. I am sure you gurus all know how to do this, but please explain.

I want to back up my copy of "The Sum of All Fears". Which I can do nicely with ffmpegX thanks. The copy is great, but when the Arabs/Russians in the movie are speaking at various stages, the subtitles for their dialogue is missing.

I don't generally require the subtitles at all, so have never bothered with it, until I discovered that it was kinda hard to work out what the heck they were all saying!!!

Do I just rip the english subs and include them? Or wot? I don't want the subtitles running throung the entire movie, I find them annoying. I am sure someone has tripped over this issue before.

    What's the go???

    cheers,

I had the same problem with my 007 movies.

    Heres what u do.

U do the "Check Subtitles" thing.
It will give u a list of subs and their countries.
    Its usually:

    EN
    FR
    ES
    EN

it usually the last EN, or the middle. Do a few tests where the russians are talking. see if thats it,

    Hope this helps.
