I am new to video creation. A copy of Premier 6LE came with my new capture card (Firebird XE) but on reading many magazines and net pages I am unsure as weather to purchase the full version of Premier or change to Vegas 4 +DVD. As both options are fairly expensive and I don't want to learn one only to find the other would have been better (and easier)
I dont (at this stage) want to create a Acadamy Award short film but I do want ease of editing and menu creation etc. without switching to multiple programs to create the end product (ie. one for capture, one for editing, one for Menu and one for encoding and burning) Just a simple one stop shop![]()
Please help me to choose the best for the newby wanna be video creator.

Personally, i'm a big fan of Premiere (i've been using it since version 5) and highly recommend it. But I wanted to point out that both programs have free demo versions. Download them, play with them, and pick the one that feels better to you. That's really the only way to decide.
