I have Shuttlepro and I like it. It comes along with preset settings for a number of existing programs. You can also make your own by copying one of the given, modify it and then "save as" or make one up from scratch. You would use your software's (video editing, game, etc.) keyboard shortcuts in one of the Shuttlepro's 13 buttons.

    Gripes:
    1. The four bottom buttons below the knob could all be adjacent around the wheel. I have to really bend my wrist to get to the last bottom two.
    2. The body could use some weight. Although it doesn't really move around due to the thin rubber feet, some weight would help out even more.
    3. Not happy enough about the color. The silver looks cheap. Kinda like the fake chrome you can buy in a spay can.
    4. Cord is a typical length but a longer cord would be nice. My computer is on the floor to my right and the Shuttlepro on my desk to my left. It's a good thing I have a USB hub on my desk to my right. The cord goes behind the monitor's foot.

Although I'm still getting used to it, the more I use it the more I like it.

i've been considering buying one, but they appear to be expensive, expecially over here in europe, how much did you have to pay for yours?

    No. I don't have Media Studio 7.

I paid $100. I think I bought it around the time when they first became available for the PC. Heh, just kind of started using it now. I rebuilt my computer one time and didn't reload it. The Shuttlepros go for about $90 to $100 now.

I have two Canopus items and also looked into their Jog/Shuttle device but they want way too much for it. It's probably better built and designed to go Into your desktop but it's pretty limited compared to the Shuttlepro.

I haven't looked around in a while but the Shuttlepro may the best one for the money and number of buttons. No problems with installations or hardware.
