  2. I hope you don't work for CNN when the Iraq war breaks out. That'd be a day too late. Here's three mirrors for the update in case that one is bogged down along with new registry tricks up the kazoo.

  3. Never mind. Seen ppl already know about the update, but the update still not fix my problem yet.

  6. I am getting the exact same error message for Disc 4 of Simpsons Season 2. Has anyone successfully backed up this disc with IC7? If so, can you report it here, and let us know if you had to do anything out of the ordinary. It's very frustrating...Other than this disc, I have no complaints with IC7!!!

  8. @vnpn

Thanks for the start of the thread, I would not have known about the update without it!!

    @mrbass

Thanks for the links and the guide from your site

I tried to update IC7 v7.0.0.91 (full version not the demo!!)and kept getting an error that Instant Copy could not be found. I then tried putting the update exe file in the Instant Copy folder and tried running it from there---still get the same error message. I rebooted a couple of times.
Still no luck, how do I update???

  9. start | run | regedit | search for dvdmagic
delete the parent key vob (it has cd wizard, 5.0, 7.0 below it).
then reinstall full version and then update. Your registry is most likely corrupt.

Use all reghacks?....use none of them if you don't understand what they do. Best ouput size on the slider to use is 4.6GB.

InstantCopy Hidden Settings 1.0 by The Mad Guy (thanks KMan) . I've tested this and it works as advertised....you may need VB6 Runtimes (see PDITOOL section) and at least 1024x768 resolution.

Thanks for the help with the update, that regedit thing worked. I appreciate it!

What is this new Hidden settings thing? Where do I put it? Does it (IC) start automatically with these settings or do I run this before running IC?
This looks like something to use instead of the reg hacks, am I right?

I was looking for the AUDIO_TS folder to be added, but did not see it in the tree, anywhere I could click to add this to the process or is it automatic? Volume Label---same question.

    Sorry for all the questions!!

correct same thing but easier to change settings

    AUDIO_TS is automatic

For volume label just click on label and hit F2 to rename it to whatever you want. Most likely though you don't even want to rename it. Before it wouldn't put any volume label at all.

if you want to backup tv episodes you can try a way I discovered. Use dvd toolbox to create seprate .vob files for each episode. Then use Easy cd/dvd creator 6 to burn them with your own menu.

  16. So lets see if I get this right...
I put the InstantCopySettings.exe file in the InstantCopy folder, adjust the settings as I want, then start Instant copy?
Please point out where I am wrong.

Do I need to do this every time or once I set and save the settings, it goes the same every time?

    Thanks for your help

  17. just they are just registry entries...click the ones you want and click SAVE settings and close out. Then they'll remain that way till you decide to change them. Be sure you don't have IC opened while you change those settings otherwise they'll reset upon closing.

I love the new guide...but have a question. I am running the newest version of IC(7.0.1.114). Following all the steps in the guide I processed the movie "Dr. No." (using ISO mode). As far as I can tell everything seems to be working fine though I have not yet tried to burn it. However, in the tree there is no AUDIO_TS folder. Anything that I can check which could tell me why that folder is not there?

Update:I thought I would try again...but this time I used Back to the Future II, which is what was used in the new guide. This time the AUDIO_TS folder was there!! So perhaps it may depend on what DVD is being used as to whether or not there is an AUDIO_TS file or not. Any thoughts on this?
