Thread: MPEG-2 for Media Player and TMPGEnc

I wrote an installer for the MPEG-2 codec I have.

It will allow you to open MPEG-2 files in TMPGEnc and MS Media player.

It should work in all Windows installs (even XP) but I can only test it on W2K because thats all I have - if you would like to help me test it on 95/98/ME or XP please send me an email so I can make sure it works.

It won't hurt your system I promise.

What do you mean by 'open'? Playback wise? So you can watch MPEG-2 files in TMPGEnc?

Yea you can open and convert MPEG-2 files to MPEG-1 in TMPGEnc

it's just a good codec for MPEG-2 files

I think I can change this thread to "just drop me an email if you want the codec" - the installer seems to work 100% on all Windows OS's now (even XP)
