  4. Speaking of Ritek ...

Someone posted several weeks back on how to "test" to see if a Ritek disc is indeed an authentic Ritek brand .....

I was just wondering if somebody could please repost this information.

    Thanks in advance.

  5. Hi guys ,
dumb question time. I see Rima.com has the Ritek DVD-R 4.7GB, General, Inkjet Printable , 100-Pack for $110, is the only difference between these and the 100 Ritek spindle for $99 the white label ?. The reason I ask is that I have the regular Ritek discs and my young kids have a problem putting them back in the correct cases , so I was thinking of getting the Inkjet printable one and using a maker.

    Thanks in advance

  6. read in these forums about the the printable ritek coming with 2 different manufacturing codes. Seemingly one code perfroms better than another and rima cannot confirm which batch of them you will get.

    BTW now they are $120.

Anyway who said you could not write with a perm. marker on the silver tops?

Just got 200 more of 'em @ $75 100 spindle. And was lucky enough to get in at the $99 Ritek too.

Ritek is charging resalers a higher price to cope with the converting of their CD plant to DVD plant. Shouldn't last but a month or 2.

  8. disturbed1,

If you are using a Pioneer 4x drive how fast can you write to the DupEZ?

Please don't say 2x (though that is what I want to hear)

I only bought a 10 pack not knowing what they they were.

Check the DVD media reports. Just about all media is covered there.

    https://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia.php?selectmedia=95

Most report this as burning at 2x in their drive.

You can also check Pioneer's ceritified media report for 2x.

It says these will burn at 2x with an A04/A05

    Hitachi Maxell (MXL)
    Mitsubishi Chemical Corp (MCC)
    Pioneer Video Corp (PVC)
    TDK
    Taiyo Yuden (TAIYOY..UDEN
    Sony (with firmware 1.40).

It also burns at 2x in the Toshiba SD-5002. 1x only in an A03, and all media is 1x in a Panasonic LF-D311. These are the three DVD Burners I own, as listed in my computer details.

Better order more, they're almost out
