  1. Hey guys,
What would you recommend for copying DVD-Rs to DVD-Rs? I have two burners. DVDX Copy I hear a lot about, I'm new at this. What would recommend for a newbie that would be pretty easy and painless. There was another one I heard about that you didn't have to copy to the hard drive first, please let me know what you think - thanks!

The Xerox machine in my office. Copies look fine.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

By the way, do you have a favorite or do you have anything constructive to say at all?

  6. 1) Copy files from DVD A to Hard Drive
    2) Burn files to DVD B

  7. DVD Decytper
    -------------------
    1) Choose "mode | iso - read" and rip image file to HD
    2) Choose "mode | iso - write" and burn to new DVDR

I think the above posts are (trying) to say that there are a lot of guides to the left that cover this and the question gets asked twice (at least) a day, so a forum search would have turned something up. Then again maybe they just don't like you

    Luck....

  8. Believe it or not, brother, not everyone is born with this knowledge, I doubt you were either. I did just find the info I was looking for. I racked up my posts helping guys out in the standalone forum, good thing guys like you are few and far between. With 71 views in 90 minutes, there are obviously other individuals who are interested in this information. Guys with responses like yours are just lacking anything really meaningful to say. Later... :P

  9. The above was meant for 'Triple', thanks for the two intelligent responses that showed up, being liked is not important to me.

  10. DVD Decrypter is very easy, to me.

Start it up, put in your DVD (watch out for the AutoRun; you may have to close PowerDVD, WinDVD, etc.).

    Press <R> for ISO Read.

Look at "Layers." If it's just 1, go ahead and execute the Read by pressing the button. You'll get an ISO file which can be burnt by just about any DVD burning software.

If Layers is 2, hit <F> for Files, then CTRL-A for Select-All. Pick a location, execute the copy. Then it's up to you what to do with the files; one way is to use DVD Shrink or DVD2One to compress the files into 4.3 GB.

I personally don't care for DVDXCopy.

    Hope that helps.

  11. Thanks guys, I knew I had to wade through the cr@p to get to the intelligence!

  12. Dale, You say 'put it in'. Are you loading up a disc or have you downloaded it - thanks bro.

  13. Sorry for my lazy English...

I mean load the disc into the tray, nothing more than that.

By the way, if you truly mean that you are copying a DVD-R, and not a DVD-Video (e.g. a retail DVD) then you aren't going to have a problem with 2 layers.

Well, in our defense, given that you've been around a while, and with the routine postings concerning such topics, it's not hard to read up on this already. Did we really need another thread on it?

And DVD2ONE, just so you can't say I didn't help.

  18. by the way it is often frustrating to see such a basic question and the people are rude because you could of conducted a search in the forum and gottem 2000 opinions as this topic is well traveled good luck!

Nero is great to have, but don't buy it just for this purpose if you already have burning software. For just copying DVD's the way I mentioned is fine.

Overall, though, Nero is the best burning software available.

Fair enough. But I've got a question... See that thing under your name? It says "JOINED: FEB 2003". How do you explain that?

Anyway, yes DVD2ONE was worth every penny. Perfect conversions for me.

  22. I'll try again, I frequent the DVD standalone message board and just got a computer set-up this week. FLASH _ THERE ARE OTHER MESSAGE BOARDS BESIDES THIS ONE! Don't be such a prick. I've got the file on my hard drive now using DVD Encrytpter, now what do I do? DUH. I tried right clicking the folder to send to my burner and it keeps saying put a disc in there - I already have one in there. Hey, be nice, enough of the B.S.
