Hi- I'm trying to backup a Region 4 PAL DVD A friend brought over from Australia, and can't seem to get the finished DVD region free. I rip with DVD Decrypter, then use DVD2AVI followed byTMPGEnc. Then I compile with DVD Maestro, before burning with GearPro. I've coppied a lot of DVD's, but this is my first time dealing with a different region. I have all the settings right for PAL, but am unsure exactly where in the process I would remove the regional code. I tryed taking my compiled project (before burning) and removing the regional code from the VIDEO_TS.IFO using IfoEdit, but this did not seem to work.

Can anyone recomend a good guide or method for making DVD's region free (or at least playable on my region 1 DVD player).
