Where do i start I think i've got my self into real truoble here and can't work out what i'm doing wrong.

I got several films on Divx and Xvid and i wanted to put them on DVD, seemed straight forward i followed the guides in converting and authoring and everything first DVD no joy second was the same until i ended up with 25 wasted dvd discs.

I'm using an LG GMA-4020b Multi Drive and i was using Discrite DVD-r discs 25 for £20 (bargin) any who after a while with these discs i swaped to Packardbell DVD-R (5 for £20) not good but i thought that the better quality of the disc the better chance i have of getting it to work

now on the PC the discs work great in WIN DVD but when it comes to my standalones which have played DVD-R backups, no such luck

where have i gone wrong and can anyone help I'm at the ponit of taking the whole lot back and getting really drunk to drown my sorrows.

VOB instant cd\dvd - Wont burn the disc properly 3.5gb authored dvd burns on disc as 1gb.
B's DVD came with the writer

use DVD2SVCD. It has a divx(avi) process in it. Make sur you close GOPS. After it is done converting, dump it into Movie Factory 2 (make sure that the size is 352x480 if you are NTSC). Burn it on DVD and it should play just fine.
