  1. Hi All,

I recently copied a DVD using one of the guides on this site. The guide had me use the following software packages in this order; DVDx, Chapter-X-Tractor, and VCDeasy. I was able to reproduce ok, accept for one thing. Please bear with the following description, since I'm a newbie. Widescreen movies have a strip of black on both the top and bottom of the picture, this copy had extreme black on top and bottom, it came out as 1/3 black, 1/3 picture, and 1/3 black again.

What was the incorrect setting that caused this? What should I look for in the future? I assume my *.mpg's cannot be corrected since this was caused during the rip?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

  2. your having 2/3 black bars does sound a little large, although if you have a small monitor it may well be correct! try watching the vcd on a DVD player & widescfreen tv. compare the viewing size on the widescreen tv with th original dvd. they should be the same size, if they are not then u must have made a mistake with the settings, but first find out if you have made an error by trying it on your player.
1)Why Not Overclock a little?! speed 4 free!!!!
    2) If your question has anything to do with copying PS2/PC/XBox games, find a more appropriate website
