I am looking for a program where i can take any type of video file and put them together as one, is their a program out there that does that?

Yes, that program is VirtualDub. It's in the Tools Section to your left.

That's to hope for too much - To join two (or more) video files, they must share all properties like encoding method, resolution, bitrates etc.can take any type of video file and put them together as one
AVIs can be joined with VirtualDub and MPEGs with TMPGEnc. MPEGs are harder - I've had nothing but audio sync problems when trying this.
