    when you use dvd decryptor it takes the protection out of dvd,s but does it make your backup region free..

    If you mean for DVD-5 ISO image read, to ISO image burn. Then no. The region info is set in the VIDEO_TS.IFO file. What you'll need to do is:

    1) Rip DVD in file mode (copy ALL THE FILES, not just the main movie)
    2) Run IFOEdit, and open the VIDEO_TS.IFO file
    3) Click on 'make region free' (this will edit the ifo file)
    4) Burn the VIDEO_TS folder as normal
