    jjulio1,

The links Baldrick sent you are right on.

But ... I have a warning. If your SVCD has used VBR rather than CBR, than your choices are very limited. Products like M2-Edit Pro do not support or handle VBR. For SVCD VBR, the only one I would use is TMPG.

Baldrick, please comment on this if you will. CBR, all SVCD editing products, SVCD, maybe one or two and the only one that hasn't messed me up is TMPG ?

also I have found that the more you edit an mpeg2 file the more likely you are to encounter audio synch issues.

    Yes,
SVCD seems to be a very tricky animal. I would really love to find an editor that handled SVCD (VBR) consistently. When I have to split SVCD, I use TMPG.

It is why I really appreciate products like MainConcept that split the files while encoding.

If I may add to this, there are several SVCD files I have been given to process and they won't even go through Tmpgenc.

I have also been able to process several VCD, DVD and some SVCD files through the MPEG mod of VirtualDUB. However, the same SVCDs Tmpgenc won't recognize, VirtualDUB refuses to open as well.

I think these SVCDs were created by DVDx.
The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
