  1. OK, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I DID WRONG. I am trying to convert an analog 8mm tape to VCD. I encaded the .avi with TMPGenc.h settings: mpeg-1 video, 352X240, 4:3 525 line NTSC, 29.97 frames, 2 pass varizble,, highest quality motion detect. When I try to write the resulting .mpg to a VCD, I get the message from Adaptec 4 that the file is incorrect "bitrate is 104857". What should it be? I looked at the conversion section of this site and it appears I did everything right. What am I missing?

This is my first attempt. Just got my Sony DVMC-DA2 and it seems to work great. No problem importing video.

The VCD spec (which can be seen on the left - under WHAT IS - VCD) calls for a bit rate of 1150kbit.
