  1. Can you rip a dvd9 with dvd decrypter (movie only) and then burn those files in a VIDEO_TS folder directly to a dvd with no other further processing. This of course is assuming the "movie only" is under 4.5 gigs

    Simple Answer No

    You would have to use ifoedit to create new vobs,Ifo and bup files that relate to the main movie only

    You would also need to rip the Video_ts.bup and Video_ts.ifo files that are normally at the top in file mode on dvd decrypter

  3. So in essence if you ran that "ripped movie" through dvd2one it wouldn't necessarily resize it but would add the necessary files and convert it like ifoedit would?

    yes it would give you all the correct files ready to burn onto disk
