i have read numerous threads about 42 leaving nothing but a blank "burnwhatsinherefolder". it also does not produce a test clip, but still goes thru all the motions and hours upon hours later im left with nothing. has any one figured this out? i have instaled/reinstalled all necessary componets, still nothing. do i need to completly reinstall jaguar?
now having said that, since disco uses 42, i tried it out just to see if it would work even though i could not get 42 to work by itself. it worked but with a couple of glitches. first, when it came time to do the chapter edits there was no video to be displayed. so i just clicked "to dvds". it finished up and at first i thought it did not work. my startup drive is named "MacOSX". the path i chose was /macosx/users/djhep/desktop. after looking around i noticed a folder in my "MacOSX" drive titled "MacOSX" inside that folder was a folder named "users" inside that folder was "djhep" inside that folder was "desktop" inside that folder was, low and behold, two .iso images containing my movie. i mounted them with toast then watched them and they were perfect. problem is i do not own a dvd-rw.
any ideas? why does 42 alone produce nothing, but disco seems to be able to use 42s componets to produce perfect .iso images. please help.
its so frustrating to read all the praise 42 gets in producing svcds when all i get is an empty folder. i can make empty folders myself without waiting ten hours.
please please kai or someone help me out!!??!!

you don't need to put your drive's name in the path. in *nix, the path always starts with / so the proper path to what you want should be
/users/djhep/desktop
try that and see how it works. -
yes your right. in my post i put macosx in the path by mistake
the path i used was in fact /users/djhep/desktop.
