  1. I can't seem to find the app called DVD author in Missing Tools, it is on the splashscreen but no tab up top, was it something that was left out or am I missing something?

    Thanks for any replies,

    Rob

  2. Use the vcdxgen tab to generate the VIDEO_TS folder from dvd compliant mpegs, then vcdxbuild tab to build disk image from the folder if desired.

  3. Thanks,

What I am trying to do is take a bunch of VOBs and create new .ifo and .bup files so I can put them all onto 1 DVD if they fit.

Does the DVD author function do this? or only with mpegs.

I haven't been able to get it to work yet.

thought i might be doing something wrong.

    thanks again,

  4. As I understand it, dvd muxed mpeg2 files are padded in the VOB process to make up the correct packet size, ect. Therefore, you cannot vob a vob, that make sense?

For your application, you will need to demux all the vob files, (note bbDEMUX reports 3 streams, but you only get 2, video & audio, the padding is thrown out).

Remux all as dvd, (mplex tab of MMT).
Select "multi" to choose your folder of muxed mpeg2 files (must have .mpg extension).
Select & gen the dvd folder (vcdxgen tab of MMT).

The resulting VIDEO_TS folder will contain a ifo, bup, and vob for each mpeg. When played, the forward, back controls will treat each mpeg as a chapter.
