I am getting a new computer system as follows
P4 2.4 GHz
100 Gb HDd
256 DDR memory (upgradable
DVD
CDrewriter
on board sound
64 Mb Geforce Graphics
Windows xp home
I want to upgrage the graphics, can anyone recomend a suitable graphics/capture card so as I can transfere my vhs tapes to vcd

I suggest you look here: https://www.videohelp.com/capturecards.php?CaptureCard=&searchconnection=Any&Search=Sear...Top+User+Rated and pick one that best suits your needs/budget. Make sure you read the user's comments for the capture card as they provide a wealth of additional info. You should look for something that can at least capture at 480 x 480/(576 PAL) for SVCDs, but 720 x 480/576 is even better.
