new sony dvp ns 305

hi ive just bought this dvd player the sony dvp ns 305 i was told it plays dvd +rw but i can only play dvd+r . i read that this player plays all formats, also the message i get when playing films on dvd+rw is 13:60 disk is dirty, this is impossible its brand new disks and player.

Know nothing about the NS305. I and my dad have the 315 and it plays every +R/+RW piece of media we've thrown at it. Maybe you need to set the DVd-rom bit before creating a +RW.

Thanks for your reply what do you mean by set the dvd-rom bit,
im new to this sorry. my burner is a ricoh mp5125a dvd r+ rw+
not dvdr-
any film footage i put on the dvd+r play but when i put it on the rw its wont play it.
