Wich tool gives the best quality output at the same video bitrate?

I tried both, and I liked TMPGEnc better. The video looked smoother.
But it is just my opinion, and not everyone agrees!

TMPGenc, no contest. If you run at 1.5ghz or more, use "highest quality" as your setting in TMPG - even at VCD bitrates you will get very good video. That setting is only prohibitively slow with older systems.Originally Posted by caffe_espresso-MPB/AZ
