I need to shorten some mp3's for my menu's and cant figure out how in any of my programs. Any know of a free program for this?

Not while it's still mp3 (and I don't think it can be done...) Open it up in "any" audio editor like goldwave or CoolEdit, cut it up and save as 2 wavs. Then reencode to mp3

Actually yes you can, do a search on a search engine for a program called MP3Trim, it'll let you cut ff as much as you want from the beginning or the end of and mp3 and save it to a new mp3 file.

there's a program called Mp3Trim, I don't have a link but you can do a Google search for it, it will allow you to cut mp3 files without re-converting to and from .wav files.
Last time I checked, there was a free and a pay version, the only difference is the free version had a limit on the size of mp3 it will process.
