I am having problems with sizing movies to the correct size so that it can be burned onto a DVD. Using InstantCopy and staying within the 4.31 GB limit, it produces a resulting hard disk pdi files totaling 4.60 GB (4,949,133,665 bytes). I then reran InstantCopy reducing the 4.31 GB sizing to 4.30 GB and I obtain 4.41 GB (4,740,389,217 bytes).
My first question is...can I burn the latest files (ie, is the 4.41 GB correct or is the 4,740,389,216 bytes correct) and what is the capacity that a DVD can hold?
Second is why is InstantCopy not processing correctly? I read through the threads and I have seen where people have been seeing InstantCopy produces smaller files than requested. However, with two of the movies that I processed (My Best Friends Wedding and Signs), they both end up with files at 4.6 GB (if I set the 4.31 GB limit on InstantCopy). Are we resigned to the fact that we have to manipulate the setting in InstantCopy, run through the program for 4-6 hours and then hope that we have set it correctly so that it ends up with files less then 4.31 GB? Is there anyway that we can find out beforehand what the size of the final output from InstantCopy will be before actually running the program for 4-6 hours?
Thanks for any help!!!

Hey dude..
Are you using version 7.0.0.80? The problem has been fixed since then and you need the latest version - 7.0.0.91.
Make sure to go back to wherever you got the program from and ask for the latest version. The CD should say VERSION 7.0a.
Hope this helps.

hello,
I got the same thing too... I had version 7.0008 and it didnt let me change and keep the customized size, but it kept on going back to the 4.9 gb size with the error saying too big for disc. So I got a version 7.00091 and it still did that. The only way I can make it work is to remove one of the movie from the disc to lower the size. I tried lowering the percent on the main videos to the limit but after pressing okay it went back to the original state. Any help is appreciated. I have spent several days trying to figure out how to work this. How do I keep everything and just lower the size or quality of the main movies without it going back to its original state and saying "not fit on disc"? -
i've been able to burn a movie at 4.6GB, 4.68GB will not be allowed. it only takes me 90 minutes to do the whole process. my question is, when using dvd decrypter, what mode do you use it in, and do you only select the movie files only? and is it only on certain movies or all?

I use IC7 and never tell it what size I want, I have done We were Soldiers and Harry Potter 1, plus lots of others and they all fit on one disk
