Hey everyone,
I looked in the forums and all I found was one suggestion about 'closing the GOP' (Output bitstream for edit) to solve the problem.
Will that work? If so, can I do this with a remux or will I have to reencode?
disk info:
CVD
800kbps (2-pass VBR)
audio 128 kbps @ 48kHz
23.976 fps
MAX # frames in GOP = 18
output interval of sequence header = 1
duration 1:57:38
It's from a DVD that I have and I stuffed it all on to one disk because it's Anime and I thought it would look OK. It looks great but the audio becomes late after FF or RW when played on my standalone as my subject states.
Please, if anyone out there has had the same problem I would really appreciate some input.
I hope I posted in the right forum...

Sorry, it is 800kb/s average for CVD? This is really low. It might be the reason for this problem you know. There are some DVD standalones (much more than we believe..) that they need a minimum bitrate to support some resolutions (that's why TMPGenc have an option to enable padding...). For 352 X 576/480 this minimum bitrate is about 1000kb/s.
Also try to re - multiplexx your files with bbmpeg as SVCD. It might help.
