DRU500A & media software?

When I try to play a movie in powerdvd,windvd and a bunch of others on my sony, it defaults back to my creative dvd player. Sometimes it will say that there is no disk in drive E. E being the creative dvd player. I have switched primary and master both ways on both drives and still the same thing. Is there something I can do to be able to play movies in both? Your help would sure be appreciated.

Check in windows dewvice manager under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers that DMA is enabled for all your drives.

I have both the primary and secondary running DMA. Don't know what else to try.

Only thing I can think of is to update your motherboards IDE drivers like the VIA 4in1 drivers or Intel or SIS chipset depending on what chipset you have on the motherboard.
