  1. I 'm in a bit of a quandry guys and could do with some expert help. It's becoming a bit of a story but I'll try to keep it short.

I have bought a Panasonic LF-310 DVD RAM drive off a friend for £70. I've successfully copied quite a few DVD's, region 1 & 2 using a combination of DVD Decryptor, DVD2ONE, Prassi and DVDXCOPY. The trouble is the drive has only 5 region changes ( I've used 2 ) and there is no cracked firmware for it. I've spent about a week trying to get DVD Region Free to work for me, but have just checked their website again and notice right at the bottom of the page that they no longer support DVD RAM!!.

OK, I've resigned myself to the fact that I'm not going to be able to switch regions with this drive, but I also have an old Hitachi DVD Rom drive which is region free. I've ripped with this drive no problem. I understand that the ripped DVD can be made region free ( or at least make it region 2 )before writing the backup out, but I can't seem to get this working. If I make the ripped DVD image region free ( or region 2 ) before writing, should I be able to write the region altered backup with my region locked ram drive?. So far I get errors everytime I try.

This is what I'm doing; rip region 1 DVD on my region free drive with DVD Decrypter, open file in IFO Edit, click ' Region Free ' button, Click ' Get VTS Sectors ', exit IFO EDIT. try to write disc in Prassi, get error.
What am I doing wrong? Will this just not work anyway?

Hope someone can help, I'm getting desperate and can't affords a new writer.

    Thanks in advance
