I would like to try my hand at CQ and compare it to 2-pass but I was wondering what people were doing for file-size prediction. I have read alot on this subject but admittedly, most processes seem complicated at first blush. Is there a way to predict a filesize using CQ +/-50MB? Also, is CQ above 70 overkill?--will I notice the difference? I was at Kwag's site and his templates all hover around the CQ of 70 but they also expect you to know how to handle scripts and avisynth etc. (which I don't)
Thanks for any input!

Hi! There is a way to predict filesize with some safety.
Try this:

That's not so easy, but it works quite well.
