    Isn't anybody else going to produce a multi-format (+/-) to compete with the DRU500 series from Sony? If so, when the hell are they going to be available?

    I believe the NEC ND1300 drive is available now. Other Manufacturers include Buffalo, LG, MSI, and TDK.

    Also, I think I read somewhere that Lite-On will be producing dual-format drives soon.

    FYI, I just realized that the LG multi-format drive supports all 5 DVD recordable formats (DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD-RAM).
