  1. I have a very strange problem. When I capture using avi huffyuv codec twice the vidio file space dissappears from the hard drive. If I capture a 45GB avi file my hard drive space drops by 90GB and I haven't been able to find any file that is using the space. This just started happening a couple of days ago and I have no clue why. I have an Athlon 1.3g computer w/XP Home Ed. 120GB HD partitioned 15GB fat32 for the OS and 105GB NTFS for storage. I used Partition Magic to set it up and it seemed to be working ok. I use a Winfast TV2000XP Deluxe card and was using iuvcr for capture but switched to the Winfast PVR app because TMPGEnc kept crashing on the iuvcr files. It seems to work fine with the files from Win PVR. Now I can't get a 2 hr movie on my 105GB partition because something is eating up the space. I know this must have happened to someone else sometime. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I normally can figure these things out myself but this one has me totally confused. ............. harrymj3

Try reformating ur capture drive if u can.

sometimes tempory files that r big don't get erased.

IE, I had 9 gigs of DVDit temp files crowding my 20 gig hard drive.

  3. Check the file settings on your cap software, it may be making a temp file for later conversion, if "View all files" doesn't show any other file, the prog may be just estimating required space. 50 gig temp file to copy to 50 Gig final file leaves only 5 gig free even though 55 truly remain.
