badboyandy, you get those errors because certain files on the DVD are still locked. You have to watch a few minutes of the movie with POWERDVD, or some other DVD PLAYING SOFTWARE. What I suggest is you load up the movie, watch a minute or so of the first chapter, then just hit next and go through the chapters. Close out of that, and open up Smart Ripper or Decryptor and WHOALA! Should work perfectly.

yes i tried that m8 but it still says locked it is only this film all the rest are fine

hey ... do as it said ... powerdvd and click next on all chapters ...
BUT .... leave the powerDVD until the rip complete
(just click on pause key ||)
ok ?
p.s. which movie is lock ? matrix ? -

I've run into this on several movies, they refused to rip in my liteon so I switched to my A04 and they ripped fine there( no ammount of "unlocking" seemed to help) , last week my cousin had problems ripping from his A04 and he brought it over and I ripped it fine in my Liteon, makes me wonder if maybe some of the disc are messed up in some way and the different ways the drivers handle errors might have something to do with it?

Also TRY
http://www.riphelp.com/downloads/claddvd.html
on your oiginal drive...it may work
other wise..try updating your ASPI layer
www.adaptec.com
and the first DVD drive may work...
Some of my DVD player drives won't rip no matter what OS and Software combo you use ..my TOSHIBA SD-1111 won't rip, nor will my PIONEER DVD303R 6xscsi drive. I think its a firmware thing as
my LG electronics combo drive, CREATIVE DVD-2x, and Sony 12x DVD work fine!
