Hey guys,
I'm puzzled. I got this new card, the Hauppauge PVR-350 and it has hardware based encoding. The quality is mint! But I have a problem.
I'm encoding a 30 minute TV show on the DVD Standard Play profile (8mb/sec with audio at 44khz 256kbps) and as the show plays it shows it recording fine...although the preview skips a bit when your watching it but it doesnt affect the outcome of the video quality (probably cuz of my harddrive speed) but the audio gets delayed after a certain point duuring playbakc! It's fully in sync but then like after 17 minutes or so it starts going out of sync. What can I do? I tried TMGEnc whatever its called and i don't think its the right program to do it. I can't seem to capture with any program other than the Hauppauge WinTV2000 program. I noticed a lot of new cards do this, why? Nothing is conflicting in my device manager! Arrrgh!
Here is what I have for a PC
533mhz with 3d now technology
192MB ram
20GB Hard drive at 5400rpm
A lot of my friends say it may be my harddrive not being a 7200rpm which is good for video capturing. I surpass the minimum requirements for the card (well except for the harddrive part)...so I don't understand. Please help!!!!
