DVD+R Help Please!!!!

I used Ulead Movie Factory to make my dvd and put it on my hard drive. I place a new DVD+R in the burner and the I use Nero to burn the dvd. A message comes up to say there is not enough space on the dvd+R??!! It's brand new. any help would be great - the dvd is for my sons class.

the file can not be over 4.3gig's you can use DVD2ONE to make it small if you need to or Instant Copy 7 or DVD2DVD-R or TMPG

It's only 1 gig - that's why I'm confused. do I need to format them?

If you've got Moviefactory why not try burning using that? As far as I'm aware you don't need to format first.

Check this out - when I place a blank DVD+R in the drive it read 0 space used and 308 meg free???!!! what's that all about? I tried a couple of new dvd+R's and I get the same.

could be bad media? what brand are you using?

I know there was a bug in earlier versions of Nero (5.5.8.0) that would sometimes have this problem.

That is weird. What type of brand of disk are you using? What brand of DVD+RW/+R drive are you using? This info may help figure out whats going on.
