    If you use Video Studio, you can Overlay a black line over the distortion (my choice, thanks to another member's hint). Or if you use TMPGEnc or another editor, you can Crop it off. The choice is yours.

    1. In Video Studio, you overlay a graphic very easily on to a video. The graphic in this case would be a simple black line, about 8 pixels high.
    Create a black line in Windows Paint program and save it.

    Load your video on Video Studio's video Storyboard line.

    Load your black line onto Video Studio's Overlay line. Using the Motion tab, adjust the Zoom and position of the Overlay graphic untill it covers the distortion.

    Edit the rest of the video normally.

    In TMPGEnc, load your video as video input.

    Select the template you will use.

    Then select Settings-->Advanced tab.

    Double click on Clip frame. Using the Bottom, remove the distortion, select OK.

    Verify the Clip frame box is checked, and continue to edit your video or select Start. Hope this was more clear.

  6. This line is normal. It is caused by the VCR heads. It is part of the image that falls outside of the television screen. However, you will see it on a computer monitor.

    See this thread for more information:

    THank s for the reply .

    I just do what you have told me to do is working perfect with video studio 6 on the overlays it is working Ok .But with tmpgenc it so so so it is normal .

    I have another questions :I see a greyish, wavering line at the bottom and at the top of my capture. It looks sort of like the picture, but distorted. WHAT CAN WE DO TO FIX THIS ?

    I KNOW HOW TO FIX FOR ONE LINE BUT NOT FOR TWO LINES.

    IS IT POSSIBLE TO FIX THE TOP AND BOTTOM AT THE SAME TIME .

    I DID ONE BY ONE ON THE OVERLAYS (VIDEO STUDIO 6) BUT IT TAKES TO MUCH TIME AND I THINK I AM LOSING QUALITY OF THE MPEG AT THE END OF MY PROJECT.
