I am trying to install CDRWin 4.0A on my Windows XP Home machine, and I am consistently getting this error: "No CDROM recording devices were found on your system". I have unistalled and reinstalled the program, and have tried installing the ASPI it comes with, and also have tried installing without then ASPI that comes with it. I have also tried many ASPI fixes that I found on the web, but none have worked.
I have been using AspiCheck to check my Aspi's as I installed them. At one point, I had all four components listed as version 4.60, but CDRWin still would not work. I just now installed the latest Aspi pack from Adaptec, and now this is what AspiCheck tells me:

ASPICHK0522: Inconsistent version numbers among components[QUOTE]
So, two of the components are now version 4.711, and the other two are still version 4.60.
This is driving me nuts. I am trying to install this program to burn patched PS2 DVDRip ISO's to play on a system without a mod, by using swap disks. I have read everywhere that CDRWin is the only program you should use to do this. Please help if you can!! Thank you.

I've got a few remarks for you.
1 - CDRWin stopped releasing v4.0A for some reason, get 3.9 latest
2 - CDRWin comes with it's own ASPI Layer for better compatibility for it
3 - Make SURE you don't have mixed ASPI components, it will cause probs!
4 - ONLY use the ASPI v4.60 Build 1021, no matter what OS you got there!Email me for faster replies!
