  1. I just installed a capture card in my pc which will let me capture up to 720 X 480 and I can't figure how to get to the higher resolution. I used to use a USB device to capture at 320 X 240 with Virtual Dub and the Huffyuv 2.11 codec and I want to capture at around 640 X 480 but there seems to be some trouble with the Huffy codec. If I don't use some kind of compression, the files will be too big for my hdd to hold. The software that came with the card won't be of any help because it only captures to either Mpeg 1 or 2, not AVI. Can anyone help?

HuffyUv will make very large files in that resolution, 15-60 GB
You can try Picvidio MJPeG instead its not free but you can download a trial. Filesizes will be smaller with that codec, try quality 18.
