  1. I'm primarily interested in a capture card for editing vhs and camcorder files in the highest quality possible for burning vcd's to view on my hardware dvd player.

I'm trying to keep my budget around $150-$250. The product that seems to fit the bill is the Dazzle DVCII (is there a quality difference in the pci vs usb versions?). I'm not too familiar w/ what Pinnacle has in this price range. I'm using an Athlon 1.4 w/ 768mb ram.

    Any suggestions?

  2. Well, I use a Studio DC10+ from Pinnacle (actually, 2 of them), which each cost me about 75 dollars. I'm not too keen on Dazzle stuff. I had a lower end model usb device which had only half the resolution of a TV screen for capture. I don't remember the model number but it was called a digital Photo maker. I like the DC10 though. It's a pci card. To the left, there are many capture device comparisons that you can peruse.

  3. mij...

Thats the Pinnacle card I'm considering...if theres no difference in quality between the two, the Pinnacle sho nuff does look more attractive at $80 compared to $230 for the dazzle...
