Hey Guys. I would love to get better rip speeds Right now, I'm using my Pioneer A05 to rip at 2.1X (YUCK) and would love to hit the 10X mark. Does anyone know if I can get the same speeds with the PIONEER 16X Slot Loader (don't know the exact model no.) as I would with the Lite-On LTD-166S 16X?? I know it's $20 more, but it's a SLOT LOADER I've always had it and love it. (Please don't ask me why)

    Thanks a lot.

  2. Pioneer 16x Internal Slot Loader 106S I think... I have that one and it's the best!!! I usually average 10x on most of the rips I do. Nevertheless, it all depends on the DVD.

I've had problems with 2 DVDs that my Pioneer couldn't rip but my Pioneer A04 burner could.

As for Lite-on, never been a fan of their hardware... Even thou, they are cheap; I will stick with Pioneer

I get an average of 10x - 12x with my Liteon, sometimes I even hit 14x but briefly.
