I am looking to get a TV Tuner card. I just ordered the Creative Digital VCR then I started reading more and more things about compatibility issues. I have decided that I am going to return it when it arrives. I was looking at the available cards and came across the Asus TV Tuner Card. I read a few reviews on here, on newegg, and one other professional site. It seems to be getting very good ratings. I have a question about it. Is there a way to capture AVI or are you forced to capture into mpeg 1/2? If you are forced to capture directly to mpeg 1/2 (2 in my case) how good is the quality? Right now I have a PIII 800 Mhz. Would I be able to capture using this computer? I also have an Athlon XP 1800+ overclocked to 1800 Mhz. If I can, I would like to use the PIII, but if I have to, I will use the Athlon. Also if you own it, could you give some of your thoughts on the card. And if anyone would like to recommend another card that I should look into, I would be interested in that also. I am looking for a TV Tuner card in order to record analog TV and then burn it onto DVD. All help is appreciated. Thanks.
