  1. The player seems to be censoring region playing of movies.
I play movies mainly from US. If I find a film not sold
in the US and find it in a different country. The player does
not play that film, could I then conclude that this be censorship.
Who is the resonsible culprit? Are there others, that feel this?
Someone out there just might have way too much power and
    it sure not the consumer.

Region coding is how Hollywood studios stagger DVD movie releases across the planet. These codes ensure that one country doesn't get a DVD movie before the same movie is out in that country's theatres. In their corporate omniscience, movie studios have carved the planet into regions with each region having a specific code.

All DVD players and discs have region codes. A DVD player and disc must be of the same region or the disc will not play.

If you want to watch movies from other countries, you need a multiregion DVD player. This will allow you to play any disc from any region. However, because TV standards differ, you might need a specialized NTSC/SECAM/PAL TV or a DVD player that can output any signal to the standard your TV accepts
Following is a list of region codes and their corresponding geography:

1 Canada, United States, US Territories
2 Japan, Europe, South Africa, Middle East (including Egypt)
3 Southeast Asia, East Asia (including Hong Kong)
4 Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Central America, Mexico, South America, Caribbean
5 Russian Federation, India, Pakistan, Africa (except Egypt), North Korea, Mongolia
    6 China
    7 Reserved
8 Special international venues (airplanes, cruise ships, and so on)

Some DVDs may have a region code of "0," which means that DVD is region-free. You're supposed to be able to play these discs on any DVD player in the world

  3. That was very detailed answer BJ_M.
If the US get them first why are we prevented to
    veiw other regions?
