I recently downloaded an SVCD from Mirc and when I played it, the volume on the movie is low and peoples voices are hard to hear without turning my t.v. and computer volume all the way up. Is there a way I could re-encode the SVCD so I can boost the volume? Thanx for any help..

Hi nymph203,
I'm stuck with the same problem. I found a way to boost the audio while making a SVCD (with DVD2SVCD) but can't find how to convert my already made SVCD's so I can fix the audio on them. I don't know if this process would be as long as ripping the movie again. If you ever find how, please let me know.F1steph -
i think you can try it this way -
extract the audio from the svcd using tmpeg
and then rencode the audio again with tmpeg, and select the
"use audio edit" option.
and choose the right volume you want.
after that multiplex the new audio with your mpeg.
i cant promise it will work,i didnt try it myself.
but i think it will.
if you need more help - post a replyHELL AINT A BAD PLACE TO BE -
Thanks for the link, but that does not help in converting a svcd(mpeg2), rather its for converting an avi file... I tried the other tip also and tmpgenc will not open an mpeg2 file.....
