I was reading past posts on this topic and found that ahead.de (Nero's site) would have links to the 1.0n firmware which would fix this problem, but I actually couldn't find anything there. The link is outdated. Apparently the site moved, and I can't understand the language so I didn't bother to spend hours deciphering and whatnot.
If anyone knows where I can find this firmware upgrade, or if someone has a file copy, I'd love to hear from you!
Otherwise I think I'm going to have to upgrade ;P
(Said problem occurs with an inability to write "end session" tracks on one of my SVCDs)

Your case was one that warranted a super sleuth of my caliber. After days of investigation turned up no leads, I had nothing to loose, so i went down to the Night Bazaar. Thats the name they've given to the Southside Pier area, where by day its the hussle and bussle of one the busiest ports in America, and by night its even busier. Hawkers selling their wares fresh off the boats at "discount prices" before they even hit stores. People flock at night like moths to a flame. And of course where there's clientel so came in the other wares, food, bars, drugs, prostitution and other illegal contriban. The city overlooks the whole thing as it brings in alot of tourists.
Having expended all my reliable leads, i figured i would check in on Big Ass Bob, though nobody would call him that to his face. Bob was a 430 lb black man from Louisiana, who ran one of the best ribs joints in the city. Everybody went to Bob's when they had a hankering for cajun. So he was pretty much in the know as to what was going on in the city. Problem was he was always telling stories and it was hard tell fact from fiction. As i was scraping the bottom of the barrel i went on a rumor he said heard.
Try Sony's webpage for support on Sony equipment. Longshot that it was i went for it.

Sony? They don't give out any information about where you can find new firmware, not even on tech support..
But seriously...I really would like to find this and I've heard of people on these boards having found this version (1.0n) of the Sony CRX100E firmware. I've got 1.0m installed, and it won't completely write to 80 min cds. -
Try the link i provided before you continue this thread. Otherwise i might have to turn my short story into a novel.

Obviously. I'd seen that before...nothing Sony has links to anything regarding the 1.0n firmware release (exactly what I said above). I remember a while back a conversation on these boards where someone noted that a Sony customer sales rep. said something about Sony not providing firmware upgrades to consumers.
It's a mystery!
Oh well, I'm getting my Lite-On 12x10x32 in a few days anyway, it'd just be nice to burn this one svcd first. -
I have the same drive and the was also looking for the firmware. I found this link on the Dell Website:
http://support.dell.com/us/en/filelib/download/index.asp?fileid=r20571
It says it's version 1.0n, but it's for the CRX-140E-DL. I wonder if it will work for the CRX100E. I will give it a try tonight. Hopefully, I won't screw anything up.
Unless I'm mistaken, this firmware should allow the drive to support overburning, will it also let it support 99 minute CD-R's?
Thanks.
