  1. basically ive followed all the instructions i changed an avi file to mpeg using tmpenc and virtual dub,i wanted to put in on a dvdr so i used unlead to convert it to a video-ts file [vob etc] however its to big to fit on a dvd???? can some tell me what i did wrong and can i save it or do i have to start again as it took 12 hours to convert with ulead.

  2. How did you determine the bitrate you used to encode the mpeg. The longer the video the lower the bitrate you need to use to get it to fit. The later versions of TMPGEnc calculate the bitrate you can use and show the filesize as a percentage of 1 DVD, if this was over 100% it wont fit and you will have to reencode with a lower bitrate.

    How big is the mpeg2 file you encoded ?

  3. mpeg2 file is 3.95 GB (4,248,098,820 bytes) i just did the bitrate as high as it would let me,its my 1st go and can't really remember,i could only do one avi as all my others are 2 avi files and it wont allow them to fit and it wont let me reduce the bitrate either.looks like ive got to start again?

  4. i did look for a thread to do 2avi files about 700 meg each to mpeg2,i edited them together and tried but i cant do it,for some reason it wont let me as it says they are too big.any help with a link to help me would be great-thanks in advance
