  1. I've just downloaded an *.ASF video from KaZaa, It's really nice and high quality!
But when I look at its properties windows, there's something like this....

What's going to happen after 29/1/2003? Is there any way to prevent?

When you play the file now, it will seek for a licence, you will be granted a licence to play it now, after that day you wont be granted a licence, so it wont play.

    Better convert it now

  5. I've tried to convert, re-encode with ASFCUT, ASFINDEX and ASFTOOL.
But all of them can't read the file (Erreor: open failed)

Did you try this app? Go all they way down to the bottom of the page and select the "Stoik Video Convertor". I have used it with better than better results, although I have never used it on an ASF like yours.

    Try it out.

    Goodluck

  10. Virtual Dub 1.3 with the asf add-on file will let you import and then convert to another format.

  12. I still can't fix it...
    graphedit give me a headache

Today, I've tried to open the file...the message said it's now protected, and ask me to acquire a license from the owner's website. There're only 2 buttons available, Yes & No, then I clicked "YES"....

After a few seconds, the video is now playable again! and the expire date in properties window is now change to 15/2/2003

It means I have a little more time to find a way to fix it!
