  1. Hi there! :P
    Would this work?
Feed the DVD RCA (analog) output of a DVD player into the analog input of a Canopus capture card; take the resulting DV file and rebuilt everything into DVD format???

  2. Will it work, yes. The real question is why you would want to do this when you can get a mail order DVD-ROM drive (I'd recommend the Lite-on 16x) for $25.

The quaility from a DVD rip will always be better than a capture, it's faster and easier.

Now, what dvd ripping program would you recommand me?

  4. Look to the left under DVD Rip, but IMHO DVD Decrypter is the best (with smartripper coming in 2nd). With DVD Decrypter you can read, analyze, rip, copy, burn ISO files, etc. etc. It's also the fastest program (that I know of).
